1) added Thresholds / Tray icon configuration panel where it is possible to configure two different temperature thresholds ("yellow" and "red" levels) and two different condition thresholds It is also possible to configure the tray icon to flash the condition sign and current temperature and possible to modify the colors and style of digits displayed on the tray icon, based on the specified temperature thresholds.
(If "display highest temperature only" option is enabled, the lowest condition is displayed on the system tray).
2) added option to set alerts for "yellow" level of temperature and condition (these are available in unregistered version also). These work exactly like the previous alerts with one exception: IF the "sound alert" is selected for the yellow level of condition or temperature (and only this alert is selected for the yellow level), the sound alert is repeated until the temperature/condition goes back to green level (or go to red level where red threshold is exceed).
The idea is to make repeatable sound alert for high temperature or low condition and make different action (shut down, alert) on more higher temperature or lower condition.
3) disk icons on tray are displayed in the correct order (not in reversed order they displayed in the previous version).
4) displaying hard disk temperature and condition in the hint bubble of tray icon.
5) option to save and send detailed TXT and HTML style reports (HTML with images) about hard disk status. Also there is an option to send such reports in case on a problem (instead of plain, brief text reports).
6) saving full SMART parameter table details and displaying previous SMART parameter values. It is possible to examine both raw values and the vendor specific values also. In the later mode, it is possible to examine a trend line showing when the threshold will be exceed (this may require many days of analysation until the vendor specific value will decrease).
7) updated condition and performance calculation methods. There are options to set "security level" (how strict the condition calculation should be). More strict calculation means faster degradation in condition. Analysing data field options are more strict than analysing vendor specific values (which is included in most other hard disk health applications). This option is available on the "Advanced" panel.
8) updated "power on time" calculation method to work better with MAXTOR and SAMSUNG hard disks. Updated remaining time display for all models.
9) added more status window configuration options to display logical drives, condition value and status text on status window for each hard disks.
10) saving daily lowest condition history and displaying it like temperature history.
11) completely new user interface. A new main window is displayed on startup and all functions can be accessed from here. There is a temperature history panel for each hard disk (the combined temperature history window is removed). The previous splash screen and drive selector is removed. The new drive selector is added into the main window and there is a list of logical drives also. The drive displays are all updated to reflect the most recent values (temperature, condition, free space). There is a text description about current status of hard disk.
12) added main menu and quick navigation buttons to the new user interface for faster access of items and functions.
13) displaying short descriptive information for each hard disk SMART parameters.
14) added SMART parameter enable and SMART parameter offset functions. It is now possible to specify which parameters should be ignored (for example to not store new values of a parameter in hard disk log). It is also possible to set offsets for each parameters - for example to "reset" the condition of a newly installed hard disk or to set temperature offset value after measuring temperature with an other device (for example an infrared thermometer).
BE CAREFUL about using these functions as the condition or temperature may not reflect the actual status after changing these options. There is a warning message displayed about this.
Offset values work only if "Analyse data field" option is selected as condition calculation method.
If the unregistered version is used, the Offset values are reset to default values after the application is restarted.
15) added logical drive hint window: one (left) click on the status window to display all logical drives with total and free spaces to quickly check the free space status. An other click hides this window. Left click on any displayed logical drive to open it in explorer for faster navigation.
16) displays USB hard disks (does not display S.M.A.R.T. parameters, health and temperature for them as S.M.A.R.T. is not supported on disks in USB enclosure). (Win 2000/XP and later operating systems only).
17) does not close net connection after sending mail if the PC was online before sending mail.
18) some other smaller improvements and additions.
