There was a custom in a small Greek village during the 17th century

that a young man wishing to marry must first expose himself from behind

a curtain and allow the villagers to determine weather his personal

endowments were large enough.

One young man, being blessed by nature with a scant two inches,

prevailed upon the priest to take his place in the test. But when the

drape was unbuttoned and the priest's ample masculine equipment

poped into view, there arose a hue and cry as every woman in the

village shouted : "No, no!" Priests can't marry !"
